Dissent: Wages for Facebook

Wages for Facebook

I should state now I do not necessarily agree with the thesis being put forth by the movement/manifesto described in this article. That being said, it’s thought-provoking, in a way that talking about “digital detox” and other superficial social analyses is not. Facebook is a product, and to use the product is to accept the terms vis a vis use of your content and information…right? At what point is something so socially ingrained that “if you don’t like it don’t use it” is no longer practical? These aren’t questions I have answers to, but they’ll only get more hairy as we become more and more connected.
